You’ll find a description under “Menu” that gives you a taste of what to expect. Plus, we regularly share videos and photos on our social media pages.

Our restaurant follows the “Omakase” philosophy—meaning “Trust the Chef”. And we kindly ask you to do just that. We promise, we only want the best for you. 😊

The menu is priced at €210 per person.

From April 1, 2025, we will be serving you the menu with two of our signature courses for 250 euros on weekends (Fri. Sat. Sun.).

In general, we try to accommodate everything that doesn’t compromise the overall experience.

This primarily means omission. A vegetarian alternative may be offered during the height of summer, but we do not offer a vegan option. Likewise, we are unable to accommodate the following allergies:

• Lactose

• Gluten (i.e., diagnosed celiac disease)
All of our wheat-based products undergo long fermentation and maturation processes that break down FODMAPs and are therefore generally well tolerated.

• Onion and garlic
We are based in the Palatinate – and we love its rustic nature. These ingredients are an essential part of our cuisine.

• Histamine

  • We are a restaurant with a focus on fish – fish is not just part of the menu, it is its essence. Therefore, we do not offer menus without fish.
We ferment, grill, and smoke. And we’re also fully committed to pairing your experience with a generous amount of wine.

If you happen to overlook this information and inform us of a severe allergy only upon arrival, we reserve the right to charge extra based on the additional effort required.

No. Think of it like being at the theater or cinema—you wouldn’t expect to see the ending early.

If, for any reason, you need to leave before the menu is complete, the full menu price will still be charged.

Yes and no.

We are here for you from Tuesday to Saturday.

On these days, we offer 2 arrival times that must be observed. 18:30 is the first arrival time, 19:30 marks the start of the second seating. Reservations arriving after 20:00 will skip the first two acts and be welcomed directly into the restaurant.

From 2024, the following opening hours apply:

Tue, Thu, Fri, and Saturday from 18:30

Sun, Mon, Wed are rest days

Every first Sunday of the month is Late Lunch.

We have two guest rooms. In one of them, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend with prior notice.

You can reserve the rooms via email:

kontakt@restaurant-inten.se

The card is not charged in advance; the data is transmitted to us encrypted via the reservation system. For last-minute cancellations (within 72 hours), we charge a €150 cancellation fee per seat.

This is a safeguard we’ve had to implement over the years to ensure that we can continue to pay fair wages and never have to negotiate prices with our producers.

Live and let live.

We currently accept reservations up to three months in advance. The system updates automatically.

Are you a group of 6 or more or interested in a private event? Then send us an email—because here, exceptions prove the rule.

Yes, we offer a non-alcoholic pairing, consisting of infusions, cocktails, and juices, mostly made in-house.

We do our best to arrange a taxi for your way home.

The rule of thumb: the larger your group or the longer your journey, the longer the wait time.

The fact is: Wachenheim is not Berlin, and taxis are as rare as unicorns in the countryside. 🦄 Please let us know early if you need a ride home, or take matters into your own hands.

Our trusted taxi companies:

Taxi Deidesheim: 06326 7013130

Taxi Cusnick: 06322 1866

Drive Express: 06322 5555

You can park behind the house on Langgasse and walk around the building to reach the restaurant.

In this area, you’ll also find two Porsche charging stations. If these are occupied—since e-mobility is slowly taking off—there are two more at Rathausplatz.

Yes and no. Our restaurant is beautiful at every table and does not need additional decoration. If you absolutely insist, we can arrange floral decor from Iris Diel that matches the overall aesthetic, starting at €50.

We also do not serve cake for birthdays—the menu is already quite extensive, so it would be counterproductive. However, we are happy to send you the wine list in advance, and we can serve your favorite champagne as a welcome drink for an additional charge.

No. We have a dog ourselves, and it almost breaks our hearts to say no, but the restaurant has been renovated and furnished to such a high standard that we simply cannot allow dog hair inside.

You can pay your bill on-site in cash or with a debit/credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX).

Yes, there are three small steps at the entrance, where we are happy to assist you. The rest of the building (except for the guest rooms) is wheelchair accessible. A seat at the counter is unfortunately not possible, but that won’t take away from the experience.

Yes and no.

The Izakaya and the “old” Intense operate under different business structures. Even though they have the same owners, vouchers cannot be redeemed across the two restaurants.

All vouchers with a B in the number are not tied to a specific value. In this case, the person who gifted you the voucher is covering your bill. It would be great if you could clarify in advance what amount is being covered.

We don’t offer vouchers.
